  1. Take care of your hair and cut your hair regularly and wash and comb daily or every other day.

In order to prevent split ends cut your hair at least every six weeks. Don’t be afraid, because your hair grows very quickly and you won't lose any real length. If you wait too much longer between cuts, split ends could resplit, which means you'll have to trim away more later on.
  2. Do deep treatments on your hair. These will make your hair shiny and moisturized.
    •  Apply a deep conditioning treatment like olive oil, Argan oil, avocado oil or coconut oil. It will help to extend the life of your color as well as keep it shiny and healthy.
    • You can also use a natural treatment.  Like beer! "When the liquid evaporates, the remaining protein residue (from the wheat, malt or hops) continues to strengthen and structure hair," says Belkin. You can repeat this treatment every other week.
    •  A hair mask or hair cream can also be useful. Honey is a very good mask especially if you have dry dull hair. It has restorative properties that add moisture to dead hair, making it glossy and shiny.
    • Try to spray a leave-in conditioner at least once a week. Unlike conditioners that you use in the shower, these hair care products are applied afterward and left in your hairs until the next washing.  This kind of conditioner can also act as a styling agent. Typically conditioners can be fairly dense, where as a leave-in conditioner can pack an additional moisturizer to yield healthy hair.  Leave-in conditioners penetrate deep into your hair cuticles to heal them more completely.
  3.    Eat healthy foods that will keep your hair strong and shiny. Your diet can    also prevent hair loss.
    •  Essential fatty acids, especially omega-3 fatty acids, promote healthy skin, hair and nails. You should eat some of these foods, which are rich in omega-3, every day:
      • Salmon, tuna, and mackerel
      •  Avocado, Pumpkin
      • Flax seed oil
    • Walnuts, almonds, and milk
    • Vitamin A makes sebum for the body. Sebum is an oily substance created by our hairs sebaceous glands and provides a natural conditioner for a healthy scalp. Lack of sebum can cause dry hair and itchy scalp. You can find Vitamin A in vegetables like carrots and sweet potato.
    • Vitamin B-6: bananas, sweet and white potatoes and also spinach.
    • Biotin: Lack of biotin can cause flimsy hair and may lead to hair loss. Include biotin rich foods such as wholegrain, liver, egg yolk, etc
    • Protein also promotes healthy hair. If you don’t consume enough protein your hair become dry, brittle and week. Protein can be found in fish, chicken, legume and nuts like soy bean.
    • Iron is also an important factor. If your Iron fall below a certain point then it might affect your hair growth cycle and may result in shedding. You can find Iron in red meat, chicken and fish.
  4. Use the right heat-styling tools
    • If you want to flat your hair, use something which has a different variety of heat settings. In order to iron your hair more effectively choose the lowest heat setting. This will avoid heat-related damage.
    • Do not dye your hair if you use chemical stuff or products which contain Alcohol to style it.
    • Sprays which contain sea salt are great for curls, but make sure it holds conditioner as well, as sea salt can cause hair dryness.
    • Do not use the heat styling tools daily.
  5. Don’t wash your hair every day.
      •  In order to preserve your hair's natural oils, wash your hair only when it’s needed.
      • Rinse the shampoo into your scalp and let the foams run down to your ends.
      • Comb your hair with a wide-toothed comb only if necessary.
      • Rinse your hair with cool water to keep it from drying out.
      • Dry your hair with a 100% cotton microfiber towel, gently rub your wet hair with a towel.
  6. Take excessive care of colored hair
    • Keep your hair healthy and moisturized. Dry hair loses color quickly.
    • Wear a hat or a scarf to protect your hair from the sun.
  7. Drink lots of Water

Your hair outlook is the indication of your general state of health. Drink at least eight Glass of water every day. The outcome will reflect in your hair and skin. Note that, if your hair is better hydrated, the colour will last longer.

Note: do not dye your hair more than once a month or so. Any sooner than that will be inclined to breaking or splitting.
